Mail "Save As" seems "stuck"...

It used to be that when you'd save a message to a particular folder out of Mail, that the subsequent "Save As" would take you back to that folder. For some reason, this doesn't appear to be happening any longer. Rather, the "Save As" is "stuck" on a folder that I haven't saved to for months. It seems that this may be a corrupted preference file...but that's speculation on my part. Anyone else experience this? If so, what did you do to fix it?
