Yes if you can download and save an infected file to the iPod and then transfer that file to your computer.

If it's jailbroken then I guess anything is possible. Normally I don't think it could. I don't think there is any indication of an iPod 'catching' anything itself. I guess it would be possible if you downloaded a file that contained a Windows nasty, the iPod itself wouldn't catch anything but if you then transferred that file to your PC it would pass on whatever it contained -- say, a Word document macro virus.

I didn't think so until last night. When my daughter plugged in her IPod Kaspersky found a virus in her backup files.

Yes it is possible. The virus gets downloaded on the ipod from the internet and then it gets transferred to your pc via the usb cable. It is 60% possible that it can happen, just becareful on what websites you go on.
