After spilling wine on my keyboard the keyboard was slow to work, but now the problem is the fan running nonstop

if your macbook is running hot then the fan will spin fast.

suggestion, to prevent further damage to your macbook, please refrain on using it right now and let it fully dry out.

there might be some wet spots that haven't fully dried out that might cause your fan to spin ( wet sensor ).

if it's sunny where you're at, leave it out (not outside of the house) for a few hours to let it all dry out.

I was not aware that a wet spot would turn the fan on, I think.

I didn't want to use the phrase " there could be a short in your system ". Might scare the user.

But if it is indeed wet, then there could be a short.

I usually tell them it is going to die, hopefully before they do, that scares 'em.

The chances are good that your MBP is headed for Valhalla. Take it in to the nearest Apple store and have the technicians at the genius bar check it out. They should be able to tell you if it is salvageable or not.

If you don't really need to use it today, I suggest to leave it over night.

I also suggest you visit the Apple Store and have them check it out for you. Just to be in the safe side.

Spending $100 - $200 is bettter than wasting $1000+ for a dead macbook.

NOTE: If you are out of warranty and purchased the computer with a credit card, discuss the warranty issue with the credit card company which you purchased the computer with. They are the only ones who can at this point cover the computer after it goes out of warranty with the manufacturer (Apple).

If you have Homeowners insurance, place a claim with them.
