Hi, there! I've completed my software updates and am not getting an automatic prompt to download iOS5. I'm using OSX 10.6.8 on my MacBook. Do I need to download Mountain Lion?

No, you don't need Mountain Lion, or any more recent version of Mac OS X than 10.6.8. You do, however, need the latest version of iTunes as well as a device that can support iOS 5. Since you don't say what you have, we can't advise with any specificity.

I have an ipad 2 and as part of my recent software upgrades, also have the latest version of iTunes.
