EPSON Stylus CX5500 driver communication problem

Hi, I own a Lion MacBook Pro, after updating it I can't use my Epson Stylus CX5500 printer. I tried downloading all the required driver for the printer but the installation fails and denied by the OS. I tried connecting my printer and it shows communication problem. Any idea..? Help pls...
