    Hi, you don't need to waste 15$ . You can call apple care at 1800 275 2273. They will help you reset everything. They are very friendly. Not a big deal to reset everything.

    I'm sorry i would feel good to be able to help you but im having a simmilar problem but more complicated its where it gives me two questions to answer which i didnt choose as me security question which... what else?!i dont know the answer to!lol!JK its not lol cuz i cant purchase anything with my spare mony i have on my account.

    Because apple decided that you need to use your security questions now which inevitably the normal human being forgets and does not writed down i also am unable to change the questions set years ago. Their support page is completely useless as it says if you set a rescue email we can send their or set one in account management which requires you to know your security questions answers. Through all of this they still expect me to continue i might as well email or contact the bands who's music i would like and send them money directly for cheaper rate's and direct money to the band who deserves the money for their creations.

    That send to XXX email thing is not showing up for me.... I have tried and tried and tried.... I think I have a rescue email but I'm not sure... I'm getting so frustrated... I hate apple sometimes... Is a alternate email the same as a rescue?

    we can only reset them  by CALLING the apple support team.. don't worry, they are very polite and friendly.. =))


    all u need to do is verify their questions..


    (1) make sure you don't signed out of your apple ID and prepare its serial number..

    and also,

    (2) be sure to be connected to the internet, so that u can help the "verifying" process a lot quicker..


    it only took me less than 20minutes to have my security questions reset without losing the balance in my apple ID ^__^

    I tried doing this and there is NO box below that says forgot answers. Apple is really starting to frustrate me because they act like this has never happened before. The only way to reset your answers is to enter your current answers....well im here to reset them because i forgot them ugh stupid apple!!!!!

    Ofcourse there is no box for "forgot answers", otherwise there is no need for us to call apple support..  Just call apple support, they will definitely help u with absolutely ZERO charge.. I did it last week, andni get to RESET my security questions in a matter of less than half an hour ^__^

    I found a solution.. the problem was, when I tried to buy an OS Mountain Lion, it asked me to add security questions.. then I tried to go to reset my password, changed it, tryed again - it doesnt ask for security questions

    Oh, and yes this problem still exist! My two sons got their ipad mini's in today and went to purchase music through itunes using the ipad as they have gotton itune cards for christmas...Low and behold there it was, since this was the first time....we need to verify...I typed in the apple id, I typed in apple password then ask me to answer two questions: 1. who was my childhood best friend and 2.  who was my least favorite teacher,  to whom i have no idea the answer to these queations as i never/dont recall setting them. These are two young boys and I, their mother, set them up with pen and paper in hand to write down all logins and passcodes if they ever were to forget them. i dont have any answers to sercurity questions writen down.  I contacted Apple,  first(forigner) who stated it was a problem with my Mac and he had to look into it, really didnt know what to do, but stated in order for him to help me i had to purchase a protection plan. thats funny because just two days before i had just purchase extended 3 year warrenty on my imac!....I hung up on him.  Second attempt, I called Itunes support(forigner) same thing this guy sorta like played dumb, i kept explaining that it didnt do this on my Imac it was my boys two ipad mini, but insisted i give him access to take over control of my computer.  As he did he just went all over it checking out stuff he had no business. i got up for a minute to reach for something and my Facetime was open!!!!! Pretty scary.  His name was Sujeet Jha (itunes support person, so i hope).  He, after going in circles on my imac gave me a # to call for more help.  I called the # it was finially and American or at least someone that i could CLEARLY understand and he understand me! All i had to do was tell him ONE time and this problem would have been resolved, but he couldnt get the people over at the security dept. to answer. so instead of me waiting he gave me a case # and did a call back. i got a call back around 9:00 as stated, this guy too, eager to help, but realized that my 8 hours wasnt up yet and by the time it would be the support team office will be closed, so he too set me up with a call be continued tomorw @ 12 noon. I think some of this is all a SCAM, to make $ off of you(force you to add protection plan or pay 19.00-one time fee) geez i just took my ipads out of the BOX there must be some free somethig!!!This is to waste your one time free support help so that next time you will have to pay. OR to gain access to my computer as in the second attempt and who knows if we are really talking to whom they say they are?  this is so sad.  So sad what extreems people will go to.
