Try a Reset [Hold the Home and Sleep/Wake buttons down together for 10 seconds or so (until the Apple logo appears) and then release. The screen will go blank and then power ON again in the normal way.] It is app and data safe

When an app misbehaves or quits this is what I try to remedy the problem:

1. Quit the app and start it again. Double click the Home button to show the screen with running and recently used apps. Each app icon will have a sample page above it. Flick up on the page (not the app icon) and the page will fly away and the app icon will disappear. This quits that app.

2. Quit the app and reset the iOS device. Double click the Home button to show the screen with running and recently used apps. Each app icon will have a sample page above it. Flick up on the page (not the app icon) and the page will fly away and the app icon will disappear. This quits that app. Then press and hold both the Home button and the Sleep/Wake button continuously until the Apple logo appears. Then release the button and let the device restart. You will not lose data doing this. It's like a computer reboot.

3. Quit the app like I described previously. Then delete the app by tapping an holding on the app until it begins to jiggle. Tap the X and confirm the deletion. Then reset the iOS device. After the device restarts use the App Store app to download the app again. You will not have to pay for it.

4.c After trying the steps above, if the app still quits or doesn't work, contact the developer of the app to report the problem.

I got Magic puzzles app on my first generation iPad. I played it for 6 months and then I couldn't open it. I bought a new iPad Air2 and tried to get all my puzzles and levels rrestored. I got a few puzzles that I had already done but was not able to get all the puzzles back plus ones I paid for. I was over level 70 and it put me back to level 31. I have sent them several emails since Jan. 16th and have not gotten any reply except that they got my email. I looked on their help pages and there are a lot of people having similar and other problems. The puzzle company seems to have a problem with customer service. I haven't found a solution to fix any of the problems yet.

It looks like you have been waiting a long time for any comments. Were you ever able to get anything fixed? If so I would appreciate knowing how you did it.

I have tried to reset and it doesn't help on either my old IPad or my new one.

Hi Ralph, This is LilliePad1 and I made a moment a little while ago above your comment. We have tried all of these suggestions and I have sent emails and tonight I sent a message to the developer. There have been so many complaints and it seems they don't pay any attention or give any response. Thank you for your suggestions but they have not worked in our case.
