hey, you seem really qualifyed in technology. i noticed how many points you had, and i wonder if you could tell me what to do about my ipod touch 4g. two days ago, i got home at 4:00pm, emiedetly plugged my ipod up into my computer to charge, because it was only 20% battery left, and two hours later i went to get it, because i knew it had been charging and i could use it now. it still said it only had 20% battery life left! then, i just decided it was my fault, like i didnt plug it up right, even tho it actually had the little battery on the front of it instead of my screen saver, indicating that it was charging right, and that the way i plugged it up was right. after i ended up using all the battery, and it was dead, i plugged it up again, thinking maybe it would charge this time. i was wrong. it has been plugged up into the computer for two days now, still unresponsive and saying its been charging. i looked at the itunes manual in the apporpriate section, and i tried everything in it. what should i do? i need a response asap!!

Try:

- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on

- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

How to put iPod touch / iPhone into DFU mode « Karthik's scribblings

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iPod fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.

- If still not successful that indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

See the not-charging topic of:

Have you tried another cable?

Another charging source? Does iTunes see the iPod when you connect to your computer?

Look at the dock connector on the iPod. Look for abnormalities like bent or corroded contacts, foreign material and cracked or broken plastic.
