Looks like no one’s replied in a while. To start the conversation again, simply ask a new question.

Where to get a cable to connect an external battery with USB port to MagSafe ?

I now have a MacBook Air 11" and I like to use it - but what if I am outdoors with no powersupply available?

There's no power in the woods or at the beach.

I have a small external battery "Power Station" with 5400mAh (and bigger ones are availabe too) that I use for my iPhone, but it has a USB output. So I can plug in my iPhone cable, but not my MacBook Air.

So please Apple, do me and other's a favour and give us a "MagSafe to USB" cable, so that we can connect external batteries to our mobile devices. :-)

MacBook Air, Mac OS X (10.7.4)

You will never, ever see a USB-Magsafe connector, for all the reasons just outlined.

External Battery manufacturers have been able to somewhat circumvent the problem by outputting power to a connector which can be used with Apple's Airline Adapter. This, in essence, affords charging and power through a legally obtained and used MagSafe connector.

Here is an example of one such company.
