i want to play contents from macbook pro to B&W zeppelin air wirelessly,set up is done but can't see airplay button in iTunes,do i need airport express?why?please help.

no ApEX need for that. I do not have a zeppelin but looked into one. they sound cool in the store. One thing I saw as a problem with it is that the setup can be VERY hard. But when it is done right works perfect. try to do the setup again but I think from what I read that is even hard to do!
If you have an ios device see if you can airplay from that.
I have the older pre Airplay Zeppelin.
When I read the manual for the Air I seem to recall you needed to configure it using USB but I may be mistaken. Have you done that?
as far as I know there is NO zepplin without the airplay installed????
As I said I do not have one but from what I can read yes you need to connect it to your wifi.

The old B&W Zeppelin preceded the release of Airplay, it was upgraded to allow Airplay along with other modifications.
I know as I have the original one. It has no Airplay. It had optical or analogue inputs along with the iPod dock.

then yes you will need an APeX to get airplay. I have a the bose portable and use it with the airpot ex. It works great but the only bad thing is it need to be pluged in so which makes wireless speakers a none factor.

So i just read the full review you sent me and if you go to the bottom it talks about the usb and an Ethernet cable. Not like I am doubting you but are you sure there is an older one with no airplay??? Even the B&W website does not mention an older version?? Now you got me intrigued!!!
So I just did a Wiki Search for B&W zepplin and found only1 Zepplin produced.

I think you may be confusingme with the OP 😝
The OP has an Airplay capable Zeppelin - like you I've used my non Airplay Zeppelin with an Express outputting over optical to miniToslink.
