Installing Snow Leopard on New Mac Pro

Lets see if I understand this. On my new 12 core Mac Pro coming Monday, in order to get Snow Leopard onto it, I need to install it first on a drive in my 2008 Mac Pro, then move that drive over to my new Mac Pro correct? Will it still perform updates to the Snow Leopard OS?

you don't have 10.6.4 DVD so yes that would. People have been able to request OEM DVD for 2010 Mac Pro model in the past when they came w/o though don't know if they still would.

If it boots it will be able to receive updates based on whatever OS you have.

DVDs with 10.6.4 or later are MIA and the only other options was the SL+Lion USB flash device.
