Can anyone suggest an HD camcorder (under £200) compatible with Mac OSX Lion?

So I popped into Argos today and bought a Samsung HD camcorder and then took a quick peak at the box which listed all the supported software. Mac was not listed.

So, I'm stumped. How can I know if a camcorder will work with my Mac?

Any suggestions from anyone using imovie '11 that might be able to suggest a purchase?

Time is a bit tight as my daughter has a performance in a few days time - all help appreciated!

iMac (21.5-inch Mid 2011), Mac OS X (10.7.4)
