Mail accounts in iCloud

Hi it says that my mail accounts will no longer sync when I move from mobileme to iCloud. I have several email accounts, including one mobileme @mac account and some other non-mac accounts. What does this mean? And what happens to my mail accounts when I move to iCloud?

MacBook Pro (15-inch Mid 2009), Mac OS X (10.7.4)

Welcome to the Apple community.

Non .mac/.me email will be unaffected by your migration to iCloud. What it means is that their settings won't be synced, this only applies when you set up a new device, you'll need to set up non iCloud mail manually on a new device from now on.
