Mine is 6568 mAh, cycle count 15... I use it at least 8 hours every day.

One concern I do have is the percentage next to the battery icon. It's plugged in but reads (97%). Any ideas on why that is?

I just found out using CoconutBattery and it turns out my original capacity from factory state was 5500 and my full charge capacity is now 5467 and so my battery is at 99% capacity.

Maybe our individual batteries have different factory capacities of which i think only a selected few have the total 6000mAh.

Then again every figure is only an approximation. Also it turns out my MBP was made in china. My machine is a communist

I checked the capacity of the battery a few days ago before and after calibrating it by draining it completely and giving it a full charge. The MaxCapacity was somewhere around 5600, and the DesignCapacity was 5500.

However, I just checked it again, and now the MaxCapacity is 6119 and the DesignCapacity is 6000. I guess I shouldn't complain, but how can the capacity that the battery was designed to have suddenly increase?

I've been using this command to check:

ioreg -l | grep Capacity

I think it could depend on the battery temperature when you recalibrate ...

This one initally showed a nasty 3% drop in the first two weeks but after two recalibrations (one in the Southern hemisphere one in the North) it now shows more than it did when it came from the store (5565mAh/5500mAh) CoconutBattery and About/Power show identical readings.

Make sure you let it go to sleep with something running and then leave it 5-7 hours at least before plugging in and allowing a full soak charge (this takes 2.5-3 hours) before unplugging the power lead.
