OS X lion and Rosetta

Can I manually install Rosetta to allow PowerPC (Photoshop CS) to run?

I have to agree that this is the best way to go if you NEED to access the PPC application.

The continued reliance on outdated PPC coded programs will only leave you further and further behind with little to no Developers giving any more support to PPC versions of their software, so it is time to either update or find similar programs that will work in the latest OSXs. Or else you may well be left with a computer running nothing but ancient and incompatable Software.

Good Luck.

Dave: This thread is stale and some of the information is out of date (like the VirtualBox tip). Please find a current thread on this subject if you have more questions.

But for now, the link I posted above for using Parallels is still current. A stats program should run fine in Parallels running Snow Leopard (I am assuming the stats program is PowerPC). I always advise saving data outside of virtualization, even of Windows.

Partition will work for the "dual-boot" method, but when you are booted into Snow Leopard, you will not have access to Lion or Mt. Lion.
