unable to connect to internet

Hi,Needing help with trying to join the internet. I have an apple laptop and ipad 2 which all connect easily tot he internet via the same wifi network. My new ipad 3 will not despite ffg all the instructions to reset, switch off and restart .Please help.There are no other suggestions from the online support desk to assist me.
