Using iCal, Notes, Mail, Contacts and Time Machine with the Cloud
Can iCal, Mail and Notes be synched with the Cloud using Snow Leopard? Does Snow Leopard use Time Machine as the backup application?
iMac, Mac OS X (10.6.8)

iCal and Mail can be, by manually entering the server settings into their respective Accounts panes in their preferences. There's a tutorial for iCal here. It's a little tricky and requires a little guesswork.
There's no Notes program for Snow Leopard. But you can access it from Snow Leopard by pointing your browser to http://icloud.com and from there, clicking the Mail button.
Contacts is tricky to get syncing in Snow Leopard. There are instructions in the link I posted for iCal but I can't get it to work for me.
Time Machine is one of the backup applications for Snow Leopard. But Time Machine has nothing to do with iCloud; it backs up to local disks only.
Hope this helps.

Thank you very much. That should help.
