Yu mail on the iPod will only sync with that on other devices if the mail accounbt is an exchange or IMAP account. If it is a POP3 account it does not sync.

I have deleted and re-added...using MS Exchange and Other type account...no luck. Below are the instructions from my email provider.

Make sure your email information is correct:

  1. Incoming Mail server is pop3.frontier.com
  2. Outgoing mail server is smtp.frontier.com
  3. Incoming mail port is 995
  4. Place check for SSL
  5. Outgoing mail server port is 465
  6. Place check for SSL
  7. SMTP requires authentication.

But, I don't see all these options to enter. Does the pop3 mean it won't sync? I think it was pop3 before the upgrade - when things were working fine.

I received the same pop3 setup information that SWiebke did. It's useless. Does not not work. The Frontier tech told me the "new" POP3 mail would "push" to my phone. What a load..... I've found if you just simply enter your full email address and password into a "other" email setup option from the account type selections, it will work fine with all the default ports and "no" SSL selected. Frontier has taken a big step backwards moving away from an MS Exchange type mail server. It Probably reduces they're bandwidth requirement for mail somehow. I'll probably just start using my GMAIL account more.
