Yu mail on the iPod will only sync with that on other devices if the mail accounbt is an exchange or IMAP account. If it is a POP3 account it does not sync.

Thanks...I've had the iPad for 6 months and email had always worked...it stopped working when my Frontier email provider upgraded my email account last weekend.
You might want to try deleting the account from the iPad and recreating it.
I have deleted and re-added...using MS Exchange and Other type account...no luck. Below are the instructions from my email provider.

But, I don't see all these options to enter. Does the pop3 mean it won't sync? I think it was pop3 before the upgrade - when things were working fine.
A POP3 account does not sync.
I received the same pop3 setup information that SWiebke did. It's useless. Does not not work. The Frontier tech told me the "new" POP3 mail would "push" to my phone. What a load..... I've found if you just simply enter your full email address and password into a "other" email setup option from the account type selections, it will work fine with all the default ports and "no" SSL selected. Frontier has taken a big step backwards moving away from an MS Exchange type mail server. It Probably reduces they're bandwidth requirement for mail somehow. I'll probably just start using my GMAIL account more.
