you can enter your serial number here
and if it says that you have warrenty for hardware, than its worth calling apple and asking if they will fix it /under your warrenty for free.
You have a one year limited warranty from date of purchase unless you purchased AppleCare (extended warranty)
i gave him a link just like that. Do you think they will cove only 1 dead pixle though? Is that under the warrenty?
Yes, if you're under warranty, Apple should replace the screen for even one dead 'pixel'.

i found some discussion on the apple support about the same issue one guy has the same problem and apple support confirmed that they can't replace or fix screan for one dead pixel it has to be more than 5 but this was on 2008 accourding to form

is there any change ?
I'd raise the roof even over one dead pixel. I'd raise h*ll about 5 dead pixels.
That's just me...

apple will only replace it if he had used it in a proper condition.
it will be replaced if it was a manufacturing defect or developed under normal use of the device.
i forget to mention that i live in kuwait and we don't have apple here in kuwait so purchased it from big electronics store and they are reliable but sure they are working based on able rules
i used it only for 8 days and no one allowed to come near to the room because of it its my first mac after struggling for 15 years with microsoft
i know i have the same problem i even had dreams about it last night
See my time stamp. One minute behind you. Sometimes we inadvertently post the same link without seeing the other post first. 😕
Of the Mac is still covered by the limited one year warranty, there's a chance an Apple certifed repair shop could fix it.
yea i know. I thought it was funny how we did the same thing
Don't have nightmares about dead pixels! The display can be fixed - and should be fixed - if you're under warranty!
I remember when I got my first Mac back in 1985 - I had dreams about clicking, double-clicking, dragging, etc. I had those dreams for about a month. Once I got the hand of it, the dreams went away, When you get your screen repaired, your dreams will go away, too!

i now calling the electronic shop where i purchased my MAC and strange things happening every one i call is telling me i need to call the vendor and they give me vendor number when i called the vendor three times they told they are not supporting that shop any more this us weird am still in between the vendor and the electronic shop I think I will need to use the hard way (fighting and shouting)
finally i communicated with the supplier and there is a good news and a bad news the good news is its under warranty and i have to pay nothing the bad news is that they can't replace the whole Mac they will replace the LCD only which is Concern me is this safe if my laptop 10 days old only i had a big fight with big fight with them but no way to replace the whole laptop they promised they will replace the whole LCD not the crystal inside only
