Is the MacBook Pro a 32 or 64 bit system? I'm converting to Mac and not even sure if thats an applicable question for MAC.

I've been Windows my entire life, but a buddy of mine told me to look at the MACbook Pro cause he knew I was into digital photography. So after a thurough look over I've come to realize that the force is strong with this one and I'm going to convert. My question is, is the system 32 or 64 bit? I'm not even sure if that's an applicable question for a MAC, I would assume so since it basic architecture. Any info would be helpful.

your mac automatically boots into 64 bit version of OS X (you have both versions of os x installed automatically)

but if you want to boot into 32 bit version hold "3" and "2" at startup.

to know whick version of os x u are running currently click on the "" menu and select "about this mac" then click on "system report" and scroll down to the "software" option on the left hand side pane and see the value of "

64-bit Kernel and Extensions:" if it is yes you are running 64 bit version if no then u are running 32 bit version
