Hey, I was wondering if I can download apps onto an iPod nano 6 th gen, like calendar or calculator, since the software is similar to iPod touch, which I have. Is apple coming out with a newer nano or software upgrade for it, also, how can I contact apple for such a request. I find the nano can be used on similar terms as a iPod touch, though not for everything, just some apps..

Pixi is an operating system, just like iOS is a different OS, OS X is an operating system, Windows 7 is an operating system, etc. Apps have to be written for the OS they are going to run under. The only "apps" that run on the Nano are the ones it came with. Apps written for iOS, which runs on devices like the iPod Touch, iPad, and iPhone, will not run on the Nano.
The software is not at all similar, your iPod Touch runs on iOS, the Nano uses Pixi. There is no SDK availble for Pixi so there is no way to develop apps.
I don't know what pixi is but I read somewhere apple apps work on nano, but no third party ones from app store. Could u share some light on this?
