Did you check your input volume in your sound system preferences?
what do you mean
I mean open the sound system preferences, click the input tab, and see if the input volume slider is set high enough so that the input level is registering input sound.
Why did you flag my question post as correct? Or did you do what I said here after your last post and that fixed the problem?
like my whole sound output doesnt work but when i go on skype orface book chat. they only can hear me type and make thumping sounds on the table but they cant hear me speak and when i speak she can't hear me could you please help me asap
Hey X423424X
my input sound volume slider is set high enough and i didnt flag i dont think so
Look at that Preference pane I illustrated. Keep still - don't type - and speak at a normal volume. Do you see the sound meter moving? If so does it read at least half way up?
Now type or bang the table. Do you see the sound meter moving?
when i speak to it the meter not moving at all but when i type it 5 bars up and when i bang on the table it 12 meters
And you are using the internal microphone?
Try this. Open the Quicktime X player. From the File menu choose 'New Audio recording'. Click the little down-arrow at the right-hand side to confirm that it is set to the internal microphone.
Click the red 'record' button in the center and record yourself speaking, typing and banging on the table. Click the same button to stop. You can now play the recording and listen to it. Can you hear your voice at all? When you type or bang the table do you hear the sort of sounds you expect, or crackling sounds, or what? If you can post the recording it might be useful (upload it to your webspace if any, and post the URL).

You'd know if you had any. Are you able at least to make the recording and report on it? If not, my suspicion can't be confirmed, but I rather think your mic is faulty. This will require the services of an authorised repair centre.
ok thank you i find a webspace site
