Trailer Server Is Unavailable

All of a sudden I am unable to view the trailers via Front Row. The second I click on "view trailers I get message saying that the trailer server is not available. I don't even get the "bookshelf" of trailers to choose from. I know the server is up because I had people in Montreal, San Luis Obispo, and Minneapolis try it and had no problems. I've rebooted the computer several times (figured I'd try a "Windows fix" ;)) I have no funky proxy settings selected and my network/Internet connectivity is fine otherwise.

I looked up the issue in the help file and online and none of the solutions seem to fix the problem.

Any ideas?

I bought a new Intel Mac mini just last week and have yet to be able to connect to the movie trailer server via Front Row. It's apparent from other threads that this problem is affecting a whole bunch of Front Row users. I sure wish Apple would do the right thing and address this in one fashion or another.

Try this:

1. Go to your ~/Library/Caches folder and drag the folder Front Row to the trash.
2. Open the Quicktime system preference pane, click on the Streaming tab, and choose something like 384 Kbps for the streaming speed.
3. Go back to Front Row and pause for a few seconds before finally selecting Movie Trailers.
4. If it doesn't work (or even if it does), go back to Quicktime preferences and select Automatic as the streaming speed. Try again.
