I have every intention of buying the new OS upgrade and the new iLife suite, so hopefully that will help. Although, I just don't accept that there is "no solution." Basically, they are saying they don't wish to support their iLife products anymore, or at least only support the "easy" fixes.
Regardless, I still can't use the Artist lessons store to download anything AND since Apple Customer Support forced me to delete the old/re-download a new Garageband, now ALL of my previous artist purchases are gone. The store/software won't even allow me to log in anymore. May not be important to Apple, I understand it is only ten of them and at $4.99 a piece, we are only talking about $50.00 (approx), but the point is I have paid Apple for products they refused to deliver! I guarantee you if I owed Apple $50 and it was ten days past due, they would send it out to collection!
Frustrating as all get out.
I'm hoping that they are working on this but I doubt it, seriosuly doubt it. More than likely they have given up on the old software in hopes that the new version will work with the store's interface. Maybe there is some sort of error between the new software's interface to the store and our old but current version of Garageband. Who knows.
Only thing I know is that it (Garageband) don't work! I remember the good old days of Classic! <sigh> Happier times, and times when Apple's software actually worked!! lol
