Star Wars Battlefront Sound Issues

Hi Guys,

I searched and found similar questions to this but not the same as I need answering; I recently purchased Star Wars Battlefront. Installed no prob.
I kind of get the feeling that the developers cut a few corners with the game, ie, the menus look impressive at first, then you realise that they're just fancy wireframes of the ingame graphics. The whole thing just lacks a little depth.

Anyhow, review over! No problems when i'm in the menu screens, it's when the game actually starts I hear crackling and static noise coming out of mainly the right speaker. I've checked connections, I did a permissions repair. Nothing works. I read up on a PC site that I should try to increase my audiobuffer but I don't know how this is done on a mac?
My speakers work perfectly for ITunes playback and everything else.

Any ideas guys? Thanks in advance,

Tony.

I've got a similar problem. More noticeable than the intermittent crackling sound is that it sounds like it's playing back slow... the music, the SFX, the voices are a funny if not annoying this way as well.

I played this for months with no issues. I think the only two things I did to my system since I last played was to add 2GB more RAM and a second display. I can't imagine how that would change anything. I guess I've also upgraded to 10.4.6 as well. But it runs just fine on an iMac in the house with the same OS version.

I've repaired permissions and that has not resolved the odd sound issues.

Help!
