After the Crash: iTunes Purchased Music to iPod Music Transfer Question

Okay, I recovered all my music after the hard drive crash and recreated all my files in iTunes so I can begin to recreate my playlists.

Now, with 1,500+ titles, is there a faster way than moving each title one at a time from iTunes Purchased Music? I've tried moving over the entire album, but with no success.

I don't have time to move over 1,500+ titles!!

Help.

The song starts and about halfway thru, stops, cut in half.

I went back to the Music library to see if the song was whole there (which might have suggested a download problem or iPod problem) but no, they were only half-songs there too.

A couple of songs were full on the Purchased list, so I reloaded those from there. But several I had purchased and were cut in half were not on the Purchased list.

I'll check out the Cloud but I can tell you I am pretty you-know-whated-off that I have to buy some songs twice because "somehow" they aren't on the iTunes Purchased list.

Now, I have over 1,900 songs all in. I can only imagine what is "half-missing" on the others.

All in all, this has been a huge pain in the keyster. I didn't expect it to be easy (never is with a crashed drive) but I backed up everything and thought--obviously wrongly--that I was protected.

Not sure what happened with these songs. Is the older hard drive available that you originally recovered these tracks from? If so, perhaps you need to re-extract them and copy them over to your new hard drive/PC. Something may have went awry the first time around during the copying process.

Are sure they were all purchased under the same Apple ID? You never downloaded or used another Apple ID?

Sorry to hear it's been such a pain! 😟

Actually, my apple ID may have changed. I don't recall what the first one was. It got screwed up at some point when my password was rejected multiple times and I had to do the entire thing over.

The old hard drive is doa. I backed this up on a remote drive. Everything else came back fine (except, of course, certain Apple software--but that's another story) but the music got chopped.

I appreciate your help. At the risk of sounding unduly cranky, I have had nothing but trouble with my iMac and Apple in general. I have a laundry list of problems since I bought this 5 years ago. This is just par for the course with my Apple experience.

Oh, I tried to load iTunes for Windows on my new Toshiba laptop. That got screwed up too.

I don't think Apple and I belong together. Seems everyone else loves their apples, but mine have been consistently wormy.

Again. I'm sorry to hear that. 😟

Why weren't you able to load iTunes onto the Windows laptop? Perhaps we can try and square this one away as well.

As for the older Apple ID account, did you use this link to try and reset the password? If that isn't going to work for reason, you can always call Apple Support and have them walk you through resetting the account information.
