Jun 24, 2012 12:19 PM in response to Bimmer 7 Seriesby doom_laur,Thank you, but that article talks about how to run it if you have an external drive already and doesn't say which ones are compatible with the OS X. It would be easy to find the drives if shopping websites would have proper filters to select which operating system I need them to support. Any other idea?

Jun 24, 2012 12:24 PM in response to doom_laurby Bimmer 7 Series,★HelpfulOooopss....Sorry....
Here you go....
This site specialises in MAC.
The link I provided you is for an external blu ruy device. But you can browse their site for other external blu rays for MACS.

Jun 24, 2012 12:35 PM in response to Bimmer 7 Seriesby doom_laur,Thank you again! The problem is that I'm living in Europe and I doubt I can buy from that website. However, I found on amazon.de another Blu-Ray that seems to work with the Mac, the Asus SBW-06D2X-U - http://www.amazon.de/SBW-06D2X-U-externer-Cyberlink-Power2Go-Hochglanz/dp/B007IX NFBI/ref=wl_it_dp_o_pC_nS_nC?ie=UTF8&colid=13VAXZ9R1OP9C&coliid=I1HO6NWD5M23H9
It's not that expensive but some people on the internet are saying that none of the software on it works for Mac (I guess it's for Windows).

Mar 17, 2013 11:49 AM in response to Bimmer 7 Seriesby Peter Bean1,I know this is an old string, but I also got the external blu-ray and playback is the least of my problems. The external simply ejects the disc, not wanting to burn via Toast 10. Any suggestions?

Apr 9, 2013 1:53 AM in response to Peter Bean1by AasimSaeed,There is another software available for that and I've found the following burner on Amazon; I am looking for an external Blu-ray player/burner for my MBPR 2013 model.
Try to update it to Toast 11 - that should work.

Mac OS XThat one looks a bit 'generic'... I've had this one on my Amazon Wish List for quite some time - from OWC and they're known for both Mac-compatibility and guaranteeing their products.

Apr 9, 2013 2:52 AM in response to clintonfrombirminghamby AasimSaeed,I think it is not generic - as from the description it specifically says for Apple MacBook; 2ndly the one which you have posted is too big to be called portable; the one I posted goes well in looks with MBP;-)

Mac OS XI've just never heard of "Archgon" - I see that NewEgg has a black version of it for $100... still, it gets some good reviews on Amazon and it is, indeed, more portable than the OWC version that I'm getting.

Apr 12, 2013 12:16 AM in response to doom_laurby Peter Bean1,Here's the weird thing, I got Toast 11 after getting the ASUS burner and it CONTINUES to eject the disk as if something is amiss, but I can't figure out what.
