I have this exact same problem, but with a late 2009 iMac.
My machine has been in to Apple to be fixed and they couldn't find a cause for the problem.
I am on hold to the support team as I type, having quoted the "Previous Shutdown Cause: -128" so we will see what they suggest!

I will post here if they eventually come back with a fix!

FYI, after trawling the forums while on hold with Apple, it emerged that, in my case at least, that the problem was most likely caused by 3rd party RAM I installed to upgrade to 16GB.

As you have a Mac Pro, I assume that you haven't upgraded, but if you have, take out 1 or 2 of the sticks of RAM and see if the problem continues.

If this does solve you issue, then you can install Samsung RAM upto 16GB and there shouldn't be any issues!

I have just taken out 1 of my 4GB sticks, so am now running on 12GB... waiting to see if this solved anything!

    *Crosses fingers*

Wow...  I found the problem, totally unexpected.

It was a misbehaving UPS unit.  Not anything with the computer at all !!

It had never happened while I was around to see it before.  With the computer plugged directly into the wall, no more recurring rebooting.

I think it's a worn out battery in my UPS.  Now, if I could only get all those computer diognostic hours of my life back.
