What is optimum and maximum os for g4 tower and old white emacs?
Mac OS X (10.4.11)
On eMacs, I would stick to OS X 10.4.11 Tiger.
This runs the best and the fastest on eMacs.

On the G4, you may be able to run Leopard, which is the max OS for PowerPC processor Macs. Unless you need to sync iDevices, stick with Tiger.
