How do I delete iCal calendars and restore from iPhone?

Hi! iCal has been not correctly importing events from when I sync my iPhone for months now. Rather than copying or redoing them to match which would be extremely time consuming, I would like to see if I can overwrite or delete and restore from my iPhone. On the iPhone side, when event problems or inconsistencies happen, I make sure my Macbook Pro's calendar is accurate and simply check the "Replace information on this iPhone" on next sync for iCal and it does the trick. I am basically asking if there is a way to do this in reverse for my Macbook. Thanks a lot!
