how to unregister iphone

Bought an s3 and I can't recieve texts from people sending iMessages since they keep going to my old iPhone 4. I've been advised to unregister my iPhone, but not sure exactly how to do it.

I got single messages figured out (turn off iMessage on my old iPhone) but still cant get group messages working with iPhone users. Some of them see my messages, others dont, and I dont get any of their responses. I have a new Moto X. If I cant fix this issue Im going back to iPhone and Apple wins. So annoying that Im trapped in the Applesphere.

Trying to unregister my iPhone from my Apple Support Profile but the "working" icon just keeps spinning and spinning....over 15 mins now.

Unbelievable. I have seen iPhone switchers complaining about this problem for over a year. This bs should be illegal. And no I dont want to download a 3rd party app for texting. If I cant get this working on stock Android Im switching back.

This problem and MS Exchange contacts not syncing from all contact folders are deal breakers. And I love the Moto X... but there are certain features that just HAVE to work. So frustrated with Apple right now.

I just got the new Note 3 and LOOOOOOVE it because i absolutely hated the new ios 7 upgrade 😟 However, my text messages to my friends that had the new upgrade as well were getting my texts but I wasn't getting theirs. I looked everywhere online and tried deregistering it myself, but nothing worked. I called their general number 1-800-275-2273 and the very nice lady on the line fixed my problem and deregistered my number for me! She even stayed on the line while i tested it by texting one of my friends. it works!!! Yes, you have to talk to a person, but they are not outsourced so you won't have any language barriers to worry about! Trust me it works!!! I hope this helps everyone!

I still love my MacBook Pro and my iPad (which i am NOT upgrading with the new software), and I would've gotten the new iphone for my upgrade but i really hate the stupid new ios upgrade 😟
