Q: iBook Turning off all the time, what can I do?

My iBook G4 turns off automatically all the time, I can't use it anymore. When I open it, after only few minutes, I have the windows "Do you want to close your computer?". I don't have the time to answer no and it turns off.

Any help??

Hello

Welcome to the support community.

What version of the iBook do you own? Is it a 14" or 12" G4 model?

When you power it on, how long before it switches off? Also check to see what light is on your power adapter while plug in when this happens?

It could be a problem with the power adapter or your DC in board, but we would need further information in order to assist you.

I have a 14" G4 model

I need to use the power cable all the time as the battery doesn't charge anymore (for many years)
