I tried restoring my iPhone 4S but then it says that they're unable to complete the activation because "The device is not registered as part of the iPhone Developer Program." I am not a developer and I don't need to register my iPhone for that. PLEASE HELP!

This would come up if you are trying to install the iOS 6 beta, which is only available to delvelopers. Try deleting any .ipsw files and try restoring again. You will find these at one of the following locations:

Thanks for the reply. I deleted the .ipsw files and I tried restoring again but it still shows the same thing.
If you attempted to install the iOS 6 beta, see http://osxdaily.com/2012/06/18/downgrade-ios-6-beta-to-ios-5/ for steps to revert back to 5.1.1. (If you have windows I believe you Shift-Click on Restore to choose the .ipsw file rather than Option-Click.)
