Holiday set up for iPad - sync to a second computer

Wondering how to best handle my digital lifestyle (lol) whist I go on my holiday. We are leaving Thursday and gone till September so will have about 5000 photos to deal with upon return as well. However my concern is getting away with all my files.

Here is the setup. We run two desktops at home, backed up to a Time Capsule. I run an iPad2 and iPhone 3GS synced to my iMac. I want to take my MacBook with the 500 Gb drive, the pad and the phone on holidays. So I will migrate all my files from the iMac and my wifes files from her desktop to the MacBook from the TimeCapsule.

When we go to sync with the pad and phone the new computer, they will not sync and we will have to reset the pad and phone then reload everything again to the pad and the phone.

Just checking in case someone know how to run a ipad and iphone synced to two computers.

Not sure what to do with the photos we sync to the MacBook when we return...

Ken

ps. installed a RAM mount for the iPad in the van and it looks fab!

iMac (24-inch Mid 2007), Mac OS X (10.6.6), 600/27 Scanner, 12/640 Printer, iPhone 3GS
