losing all sound after playing itunes in my car via bluetooth

So my Land Rover has built-in bluetooth capability and is paired with my iPhone. When I get into the car it connects and I can play my iTunes through the car speakers and take calls etc .. all very nice.

When I get back in the house, all sound is gone from iTunes and YouTube etc...

I have tried a hard reboot.. nothing...

It seems to get stuck thinking it is still playing sound over bluetooth to my car?? That's all I can think of...

Question is.. how to reset the thing....

any ideas?

Did you try to switch off bluetooth?

Anything else paired to bluetooth?

Did you try to set your phone up again as new device?

nothing else paired to it...

trying s restore now... but even if this works, it's not much of a 'solution' ... smells like a serious IOS bug to me...

so weird - I hear sound when I invoke Siri .. but not thru iTunes...!!

i'm using iTunes match ... and I downloaded a song from my cloud collection .. no sound...

and none in youtube..

settings-sounds-ringer ... that rings though

ok ... more random googling around and somebody suggests blowing air into the dock connector socket...

I'm thinking to myself.. no way .. that's dumb.

Tried it...

Sound magically back on !!
