Nike+ temporarily unavailable

I have tried uploading my Nike+ data for the past 2 weeks, only to be hit with the message " Itunes could not connect to Nike+. The Nike+website is temporarily unavailable. Please try again later." Yet if I go to the site manually it is up and running.

Can anyone suggest a solution so I can update my data?

I read somewhere in the Internet that Nike+ was having problems connecting with IE. I was having problems logging in via Firefox, so I tried Safari and now I can login.

When I connect my iPod nano 5th generation, it says that I have a workout to download. I click on "Visit the Nike+ website", but the workout does not appear anywhere😐, even though now the iPod says the information has been transferred. For somereason NONE of my workouts, since last year, appear in the Nike+ website ➖

Thanks Agulkis, that's amazing! How long was the new site functioning while in beta, it seems like forever (6 months?). Then all of a sudden they implement it and the single most important function of the site breaks.

I can access the site, but I am still unable to upload run data from my Mac. (iPod Nano + iTunes)

Completely inexcusable!

It gets better!

The new offical word is:

@NikeSupport Here's a link to troubleshooting steps for your iPod nano:gonike.me/6013rh1P. Hit us up with any other questions.

Since I had a few runs that I wanted synced I called the 800 number for the "simple troubleshooting steps" that would lead me back into the good graces of the sync gods. Not so much. What I got was a very friendly person who promised to manually upload my runs for me if I would give him the date of the run, the time, distance, pace and optionally the calories. Given that was the only optionI read him the 18 runs I had been unable to sync. From there they told me to restore the ipod and DELETE iTunes then reinstall it. (I rather hope Dave Heller sees this message).

That this is Nike's solution is incredibly disappointing. Sounds like they either don't care about a real fix, or refuse to devote the resources to figure out what the problem actually is.

I'm getting truly fed up with the Nike+ site. Part of the value of purchasing a new iPod Nano was the ability to sync workout data (otherwise it's basically a glorified Shuffle). Don't get me wrong, I still love my Nano...but it seems like Nike doesn't care about upholding its end of the bargain.

Anyway, that's my rant. Now on to the details. Here's the error I'm getting when attempting to sync my Nano in iTunes:

"Your workout data could not be sent to Nike+ because iTunes received an unexpected response from the server. Please try again later."

Normally I'd not worry too much and assume the server's down, but this has been since early this morning (it's now 10PM). And the site appears to be working, so it's not that. There's obviously an error somewhere, and I suspect it's on the Nike+ side. Chances are somebody changed something, and broke syncing for some (if not all) people.

I tried going through Apple support, but of course you have to PAY them if you want any help. This is infuriating and really inexcusable.

Come on guys. Let's get it together here and start offering the service advertised. This is NOT up to the usually high standards of quality associated with Apple, and although it seems Nike may be the weak link, it still reflects poorly.

Thanks.

Hi,
I have the same problem since yesterday morning. When I connect my iPod 16GB 6th Gen and I sync I get the error "the data from your workouts sessions could not be sent to Nike + Itunes has since received an unexpected response from the server. Please try again later. "
But for Itunes, my races are there and the Nike + site is ok.
Solutions?

Thanks!

In French (because I'm French 😉 )

Bonjour,

Here we go.

i have just spoken to Nike plus. They have ongoing software issues that they are trying to solve. It is not Apple or itunes.

Whilst they resolve the problems hang onto your data, avoid restoring your ipod if you can

If you wish, they will upload your data for you if you mail them the files.

or You can call them on 0031 205820542 and they will send an excel file for you to enter your data onto and they will upload to manually

Nike+ temporarily unavailable
