Turn off Wi-fi Sync

Again man you call everyone who dont see it your way a troll. Leave the name calling out and people would jump on you for being an A** but Im starting to think your the troll. The manual sync was never the question you asked or stated. you stated you cant sync to more then one computer via wifi and on that point your still wrong.

Trolls don't get to level 6 here. Zero's who pile on to complain about things that don't even involve them are the living definition of one.

If you look at your buddy's photo, he synced podcasts and iTunes U from one computer, and separately synced photos one day, and apps + tones + music another day from another computer. This can't be done from the phone, especially using the automatic sycning feature of WiFi syncing when plugged into power. It's all content or none from the phone end. It can be done from the phone with hacked/jailbroken iOS.

Actually, it is possible to do this using a manual syncing techique done from the computer end, not the phone which neither your buddy, nor yourself show any inkling of knowing about. It is explained here:

Man did you read the link or do you blindly just post stuff? Im glad you feel that you lack of superior knowledge comes from you so called helpful 10,040 post. Becasue when someone with 13K+ told you you were wrong earlier today you attacked him too,Granted in another post. And proof that trolls can get to level six is you.

As long as both computers are NOT on at the same time the auto update will work over wifi. I have done it but dont anymore as its a pain in the butt. Not to mention that you can do a manual sync whenever you want if said computer is on. You dont have to have a power cord attached to press the sync now button.

Read what the OP wanted, and you know that any type of manual syncing was not involved. Without manual syncing, there is no selective content syncing - all or none.

REREAD your second post. You state there is no selective syncing allowed. However you can seletive sync as is shown to you in several pics since now you say with manual syncing you can do selective syncing so which is it?

iOS only allows syncing with one computer at a time, and all or none - no such list of different computers syncing different items exists.

Is your phone jailbroken or the image faked?. Either way, you'll get no help here.

If I am wrong, show us EXACTLY how the OP selectively synced different material with 3 different computers, using WiFi syncing initiated at the phone end. That is the issue you don't get. There have long been Cydia apps that provide for doing just that.

The way to do it is

1.Install the latest version of iTunes

2.Authorise this computer

3. Plug in your iDevice via USB

4. Right click transfer purchases, this is the way I know of authorising the device on the PC, there may be other ways

5. Unplug USB, make sure you are on the same WiFi network

6. DONE

All the OP wanted was to remove the old ones, he didnt say anything about funky manual syncing, or anything like you claim he did. Here is what he said

This has absolutely nothing to do with selective syncing of different content from different computers, which is what the OP did, and which I asked you to show how he did it. #4 has nothing to do with "authorizing" any computer - it prevents deleting the apps and media on the phone and replacing them with the iTunes library content of that computer.

Never clamed he SAID anything about manual syncing -that's the whole point. Read again. I SAID that manual syncing was the only way he could have synced different content from different computers, YET HE SAID NOTHING about it, only that the syncing was by WiFI.

The fact is, there are cydia apps that allow you to selectively sync from the phone.

I've had the same issue as the OP. It occurred after a fresh install of Mountain Lion. My iphone showed that the old install was waiting to "become available" before it would sync apps and the new install computer name syncing everything else.

I fixed this easily by in itunes going to the apps tab of my devices and checking the sync apps check box. This did mean reorganizing all my apps but it resolved the issue of having two computers listed under iTunes Wifi sync and seemed to have resolve some connection issues I was having.

I hope that this helps anyone else with this problem.

i have the same problem as yours, where my iphone wi-fi sync with lion on my macbook air before i upgraded to mountain lion. so now i end up with 2 wi-fi sync groupings for the same macbook air with different group "members" on my iphone. i thought of the same solution as yours and now i have most of the "members" (tones, music, photos, apps, etc.) moved to the newest w-fi sync grouping. the problem for me, and i think i saw one similar screen caps on this thread, is that i was unable to "move" iTunes U and Podcasts to the latest grouping by enabling syncing for these two, which in theory (i hope) would eliminate the old grouping.

any thoughts or ideas on this will be much appreciated.

I am having the same issue. I have the same computer but due to it having issues it says i have three wifi sync areas, i guess you could call it. That picture cant be fake in any way. Just because someone else has never seen the issue on their phone doesnt mean that it's not real because my wifi syncs look exactly like that.

BUT I also have this nice screen showing my old computer and I still have no idea how to get rid of the old computer.

I would really like to use the "sync apps" checkbox but my Itunes simply doesn't have this button. All other types like music and so on I could easily swap to my new machine by using this checkbox but for apps I don't have the button.

You can sync a device wirelessly with multiple computers, but each type of content can be synced with only one computer.

What an awesome thread. I searched for an answer to my problem with my phone being connected for wifi syncing to two machines, and stumbled into this.

I'm glad I also found a solution to my problem here, amidst all accusations of jail breaking. No, I haven't jailbreaked either, would never try. The walled garden is one of the benefits with iPhone for me. No reason to destroy that.
