Turn off Wi-fi Sync

iOS only allows syncing with one computer at a time, and all or none - no such list of different computers syncing different items exists.

Is your phone jailbroken or the image faked?. Either way, you'll get no help here.

NO!! The iOS syncs with ONLY ONE COMPUTER at at a time, and CANNOT sync with multiple computers or do partial syncs, i.e. "Photos", "Podcasts", etc. to different computers. No such list as you display can exist in ANY stock iOS 5 device!

I have 2 Macs with the same Apple/iTunes/iCloud ID and have synced both to my iPhone. Only one at a time shows on the phone, never with specific backup type, and always looks as shown in the User Guide.

Do you really think your "unmodified" iPhone would behave differently than not only what is described in the User Guide, but differently than what every one else has ever seen?

How does it feel to be wrong? It is very possible to have wi-fi sync with more than one computer as long as those computers are authorized with his Apple ID - like he said they were. So, the OP does not have a jailbroken device. Should do some research before making such wild accusations.

Maybe you should read what was actually said. I can sync with more than one computer, but only one at a time shows in the screen posted by the OP, and I did plenty of research.

Instead of proclaiming the "truth", how about documenting it with a link or reference to the User Guide, or an Apple support article that shows that the screen shown is accessible in any released version of the iOS. I have no problem being wrong...

Modular747, you're way out of line here. I, too, had the same problem as RylandDe and it happened when I changed from my laptop to a new desktop. Your answers were so insulting that I signed up to the community just so I could reply to this thread. I found it because I needed to know the fix myself. And, no, I did not steal the iphone and neither did I get hacked. Stay off sites until you know what you're talking about. You owe him an apology.

If you have no problem being wrong, then look up "iTunes Syncing Over Wi-Fi" on the Apple Support Site. It's a real thing.

No one jailbroke a phone here.

If you would have actually read the User Guide though, I'm sure you would have figured out the "truth" on your own. It clearly states, "You can sync iPhone with iTunes on a computer that is connected to the same Wi-Fi network". The screen shot the OP has attached actually shows the computers he's synced with before.

Despite all your irrelevant links and patronizing tone, you completely miss the point. The issue is not WiFi syncing, which is well known to just about everyone posting on this forum. The issue is selective syncing of different content from different computers, whether done by WiFi or USB.

If you look at your buddy's photo, he synced podcasts and iTunes U from one computer, and separately synced photos one day, and apps + tones + music another day from another computer. This can't be done from the phone, especially using the automatic sycning feature of WiFi syncing when plugged into power. It's all content or none from the phone end. It can be done from the phone with hacked/jailbroken iOS.

Actually, it is possible to do this using a manual syncing techique done from the computer end, not the phone which neither your buddy, nor yourself show any inkling of knowing about. It is explained here:

You also offered no advice to your bud how to solve the "problem" of eliminating the sync history from his iPhone. Giving him the benefit of doubt that he did it the manual way rather than hacked code on the phone, the solution is to transfer purchases and backup to his new computer, then restore the phone in iTunes, followed by restoring the backup and syncing everything back to his phone.

Here is how I changed it (of course your phone isn't jailbroken, hacked, or whatever!):

Connect your phone to iTunes on the computer you want here for wifi syncing.
Set the phone to actually sync the items (podcasts/itunes U/photos) that were syncing from the old computer.

Sync. Voila, only one computer shows.

I've never hacked my phone & I don't use manual syncing. (As you say it has little to do with wifi syncing vs. cable syncing, except that the screen on the iphone that shows this info is shown under wifi sync).

That can happen if there are only podcasts on one computer, only photos on another, only apps on a third, etc. There is no way to select in advance what syncs by WiFi to/from any computer.

Modular747 you are very wrong. I was snycing my music with im work compter and all others with my home computer and both over wifi. Now since I have removed the music sync from my work computer and am doing it all off my home computer I can no longer sync anything over wifi on either my ipad or iphone 4s. I removed the sync options on the work computer and enabled them on the home. I suggest you do a little more research before saying some one has hacked there phone. You owe the op an apploigy. I see you have a lot of post lets just hope your right more then your wrong. Neither of my devices are jailbroke or what ever that is but I know from first had experience that it can be done its not all or nothing.

I suggest you read the thread you're posting in so as to have some clue about what is being discussed. No one said you can't change computers you sync with, WiFi or cable.

Seems some of you old fanboys dont know as much as you think.
