Why does my encoding freeze in iDVD?

Hi, I'm working in iDVD trying to burn a project that is 74 mins and 2.59GB. When I try to change the encoding type to "High Quality", to improve the performance due to the project size, the encoding freezes and goes nowhere, for hours. Any suggestions? Please?

iDVD '08, Mac OS X (10.6.8)

Try creating a new project and add the same media to it. The old project file could be damaged/corrupted. The file gets damaged when media, i.e. movies, are edited and then the project is encoded. It's a bug in iDVD.
