Jun 25, 2012 6:31 PM in response to RAS1036by stevejobsfan0123,It will support almost certainly support Snow Leopard, but please go to the Apple menu in the upper left, then About this Mac > More Info, and post your system's specs here. Please do not include the serial number or UUID. This will help us determine if you can update to a higher OS.

Jun 26, 2012 8:31 AM in response to RAS1036by stevejobsfan0123,★HelpfulOk, so your MacBook will also support Lion, and I **THINK** it will support Mountain Lion. Based on the Model identifier you posted, it is a Late-2008 which is listed on the OS X Mountain Lion specs page: http://www.apple.com/osx/specs/. I would seriously recommend upgrading the RAM, though. You have 2GB and that is the bare minimum for Lion/Mountain Lion.

Jun 26, 2012 8:41 AM in response to RAS1036by stevejobsfan0123,★HelpfulYou would have to purchase RAM sticks from a reputable place - Apple's prices are through the roof.
After you have bought it, see: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1651
Make sure you get the right kind for your model. You might go to an Apple Store just so they can help you figure out what you need.
