itunes help

I have the new 4s iphone, set it up with itunes, but when I go back to itunes, itunes keeps asking me to set up my iphone and doesn"t let my go any further than the restore from back-up. This is happening every time I go to itunes. My ipod and ipad sync perfectly, but not this new iphone. Any help with this would be appreeciated.
