I was just wondering if i bought the imac with a 2.5ghz quad core processor if apple could switch out that processor with a 3.4 ghz quad core processor. I understand apple makes it easy for the user to add extra ram and i will be doing that within the first week but id like to have a more powerful processor without paying 1,999 for the 27in 3.1ghz

If Mac's are too expensive or you want hardware upgrade options, you need to get a generic PC tower where you can get under the hood and change things like a hardware geek.
Apple isn't about hardware geeks.

Thank you for helping me. Last september I built a computer from scratch 1000 gb hardrive 8 gb ram and a 3.41ghz multi core processor. I love it and love the spead but I am jus ready for a Mac so I can hav a simple connection between all my devices, and I love apples os. Hopefully one day they will come around, for now I'll save up for the 2000$ iMac. Thank you again for your help
