Ipod touch text to android

By change does anyone know how to get contacts in a ipod touch to text to an htc android cells, Which kind of apps would I need if any, the imessage does not work with android cells.

iMessage on iPod touch, can't send messages like SMS to other cellphones than the iPhone. I don't think that there are any apps that can help you, but even if they are, I believe that they won't work.

There are many third-party texting apps available in the App store. One is Text+.

Thanks Illaass that was a huge help. a co worker told me the same thing I was looking for a confirmation on this issue and u have done that. again thanks for the info

Kik is another good one that can connect all apple products, android products, and even Amazon products. it is more of a social network-based texting app, but it has helped me text my friends with different device platmforms. i hope this helped!

I have android users in my family and I use Skype to text and call them. The person who has Skype needs the other person to have Skype too though.
