I have a Mac Book pro that I have had for a couple of years. I was considering an upgrade to the new Retina Display and was dissapointed to find that the 17" model is no longer available. After using this larger screen it would be hard to back up to the 15" model. Any chance that they will introduce a 17" model in the future?

It is unlikely that Apple will bring back the 17" MBP. I guess the 17" wasn't that popular. If you get a 15" it would just be 2" smaller. I want to upgrade my 20" iMac to the new Retina MBP.
The 17" has disappeared from Apple's inventory, although you may be able to buy a refurbished unit. There has been a long discussion here about the apparent demise of the 17"... you might want to search for it and join in the others who are writing to Apple pleading their cases for bringing back the 17".

It's seems so irrational to remove most pro macbook among macbookpro's. I can't really undesrstand that decision and I also can't understand why they did it silently? They didn't have a proper reasons that are good enough for explanation? So perhaps there are is NO reasonable explanation?
