Flickering Retina Display

Hello,


displaying e.g. a neutral grey background, my retina display starts to flicker.

some grey websites "flicker" as well.


it is not related to display brightness.


anyone else with this issue?

MacBook Pro (Retina, Mid 2012), Mac OS X (10.7.4)

-just in case no one has. If I were you guys, I'd all log-in and file a report. It's certainly an anomaly, or this board would be flooded with the same type of problem, I think. Or maybe it's not an anomaly and people just don't know where to turn. I'd write in a bug report, contact AppleCare (schedule a call, maybe), take them back to the Apple Stores, etc. You guy's and girl's deserve to have this problem taken care of.

It seems from reading around this forum that some display issues with the Retina have been software related. Have you tried reinstalling Lion on top of itself?


First, back up your system. Then reboot your system into the Recovery HD by pressing and holding COMMAND-R. From there you can Reinstall Mac OS X. It will download and then install. Only the OS will be written over. All your data and apps will be fine. After the install, be sure to run Software Update to reinstall any updates.
