Q: HP DeskJet Printer

My HP DeskJet 895Cse old but reliable printer works fine, but I can't get it to work with my new iMAC.

I tried to download and install the HP Cse printer driver and got the following:

"You can't opent the application OS X HPInkjet Installer because PowerPC appications are no longer supported."

Any suggestions?

iMac, Mac OS X (10.5)

Hi..

Your new iMac is running v10.7 Lion does not suport Rosetta therefore cannot install PowerPC drivers.

You can contact HP to see if they have a Lion supported driver for your iMac running Lion http://www8.hp.com/us/en/contact-hp/contact.html

As Carolyn mentioned, you must be running OS X 10.7. Your printer is not supported by HP on that system. You can use the Gutenprint drivers that are available at http://gimp-print.sourceforge.net/MacOSX.php
