You can get your wallet out and pay to have it repaired or purchase a new one.
Apple will sell you a replacement iPad for your out-of-warranty damage for about half the price of a new one.
3rd party repair shops can replace the glass for less that the cost of an Apple replacement ususally. Having the glass replaced will void what few months are left of your warranty.
