i was wondering if someone could view things sent on imessage...

So Im kind of stupid and know nothing about wifi... so if i am logged into a wifi.. local, free, whatever i am using... basically my question is.. will the wifi holder have easy access to my messages.. like can they just appear before them?
I mean can someone actually view my messages in any way shape or form? i need details... i have private conversations -__-

If you are using unencrypted wifi it is easy to read the wifi transmissions.
If you are using WEP encryption it is very very easy to break that encryption
Other encryptions are very, very, very hard to break..
What he wants to know is can the OWNER/OPERATOR of a given WiFi network eaves drop on iMessage conversations.
My answer would be "Maybe, Maybe not."
The only real exposure I see is if you are doing something that is against the law. In that case, by showing probable cause, law enforcement can get a warrant requesting access to your iMessage traffic from Apple.

If you use encryption for wifi you would have to break the encryption to be able to intercept the transmission.
If the wifi is encrypted with anything but WEP encryption I would be safe. Further, if you have a secure connection (SSL, the ones that shows the padlock) you are even more safe.
