I opened a PDF in iBooks, but now I can not close it. Every time I open iBooks, the PDF is opened and I can't close it. Any suggestions on how to close it and get back to the book shelf?

Do you have an icon at the top of the page that says 'Library'? Tap that to get back. If not, just tap on the page that shows up and this should bring up the icons at the top for Library, another for the contents of the book, and the text size, search, and bookmark.
