Logic has detected a MIDI timeout?

I installed what I thought was the right driver for my digidesign mbox and now when opening logic it gets stuck on "Checking MIDI Drivers" and when it finally opens it says "Logic has detected a MIDI timeout." I went and uninstalled the driver but it is still doing it. Help! I use Logic Pro 9.

Loading an old Logic 7 Song from system 10.4 into Logic 9 system 10.6.8 ... i get the message "Midi Time out" plus another obscure error message (reading in german: Tief verschachtelte Architektur! Bitte packen sie einige Ordner aus) sth about "deeply complicated architecture and i should unpack some folders" ... you guessed right, that there a no folders in this arrange ...
